Serving our Community 

Our commitment to outreach and service is a key part of school life, and pupils across the school are actively involved in supporting those in our local community. Children were excited to participate in the Alistair Roberts Christmas Card Competition, sharing messages of hope and joy, and worked closely with the SVP to help create Christmas hampers for local families and individuals in need. Through these initiatives, pupils demonstrate generosity, compassion and a genuine desire to put their faith into action. 

Our Faith Leaders take a leading role in many of these opportunities. Each month, they visit the Dementia Café, where they spend time chatting, singing, completing crafts and playing games with attendees. These visits bring joy and companionship to members of our community, while helping pupils develop empathy, confidence and a deeper understanding of the dignity and value of every person. 

In addition, groups of pupils regularly visit the local care home, where they share stories, read aloud, sing songs and build meaningful relationships with residents. These intergenerational experiences provide valuable opportunities for children to develop their communication skills, learn from the experiences of others and live out our Gospel values through acts of kindness and service. What has been particularly inspiring is the enthusiasm children show for outreach work, with many actively seeking opportunities to help others and make a positive difference within the wider community.
