St Joseph's Kitchen
School 2 School
St. Joseph's Kitchen have been supplying many local primary schools with daily hot and cold meals since September 2010. Over the past few years, we have gained an extra four schools from mass meal producing competitors. St. Joseph's Kitchen now serves fourteen schools which, an average of 1,600 meals daily.
We are a local business whose main objective is to ensure that a high standard of food, and quality service, is offered to all our schools and pupils. We observe government guidelines on healthy meals, portion control and the "eat well plate" to offer a wide range of food and flavours, ensuring, wherever possible, to cater for any dietary requirements. We always support local business whenever we can; our fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily from a local family grocer in Chalfont St. Peter and our fresh meat produce is delivered from a local company in High Wycombe. Our dry and frozen supplier is based in Slough. All this ensures we are helping the local economy.
Our Chefs work very closely with all schools, visiting regularly to gain knowledge and feedback on menu options with suggestions and ideas warmly encouraged.
A daily delivery from our hot and cold menu choices, chosen by the individual school. We can accommodate and support schools by offering a favourite dish or, if possible, adapt the menu slightly to be more favourable to the pupils; the pupils are our customers, we want them healthy, happy and full!
The daily menu can be changed for events happening within your school such as sports day, school trips or an exciting 'themed' day.
Healthy Choice Workshops: We offer an after-school Chef's Club that schools can add to their extra-curricular activities. Over the course of 5 weeks, pupils will learn key skills to become a budding chef and take home some tasty treats!
We offer schools the chance to host a taster session for new pupils and parents. A choice of hot meals can be delivered to your school and served to pupils and parents by a member of our team. This is an ideal opportunity to sample a few dishes and increase uptake.
We offer various occasion menus that are suitable for events such as staff inset days, training days and parents evenings.
Staff Training and Support*
We hold regular food safety training where school catering staff can attend to gain qualifications in food safety and hold in house training on food safety and portion control. During times of staff shortages we can help support you with an extra pair of hands
We are extremely proud to have been granted a licence to sell food and have a 5* food hygiene rating due to our close working relationship with the EHO.
