S.T.A.R.S.
At St Joseph's, we have embraced a new vision for our pupil leadership roles! All groups are now going to be known as S.T.A.R.S!
S.T.A.R.S. stands for
Students Taking Action, Responsibility & Service
The children elected into these groups take on roles of responsibility in school which benefit the pupils, wider community and school itself. They will meet regularly to create meaningful and purposeful objective with clear actions and outcomes of what they would like to achieve.
These groups will embrace the importance of British Values across the school to support the children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. They will be ensuring that the children in our school are becoming valuable and well rounded members of society, who show respect and tolerance, regardless of background. We want to promote the basic British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those of different faiths and beliefs. This ensures that our pupils understand the importance of respect and leave school fully prepared for life in modern Britain.
